Planting Fruit Trees on the Side Roads of the Cities

There are cities and towns  in Banat Romania that plant fruit trees close to the roads, on public property.

There are plum trees, cherry trees, walnuts trees.

These trees are used to protect the road with the shade that they provide, stabilize the soil, purify the air and provide fruits for the communities.


These trees are not planted only close to the roads but also close to the railways.

The municipalities also use this trees as a source of income. In the fall they bid the trees to the citizens of the town or city and the fruits are collected while the town/ city collect a fee for the transaction.


I believe this is another good way of utilizing public property for a reason to plant trees that are also useful to the citizens and the owners of the land can make an income from keeping the…
